Comfy Cozy Campside Cardi

 Hello again!

Yep, I finished this project a while ago and am just now writing this post! Better late than never!

So without further ado, here's my Campside Cardi.

I had this project in my Ravelry library for a while, but kept waiting for that perfect yarn to make one.  Then when Sea Turtle Fiber Arts posted a sale code, I jumped on finding some yarn!

I bought the MCN Riptide Sport in 'Glam Pops' and boy is this yarn amazing! That Merino/Cashmere/Nylon blend is so stinkin' soft, and I love the way the "pops" knit up.

I knitted the largest size, 43" bust.  I did add an extra 2" of stockinette below the underarm, for some extra length, before starting the charts.  I also modified the sleeve decreases so I could have a looser fitting sleeve.  This thing sure did grow during blocking too!  Next time I make one I'll make a smaller size and use sport weight yarn again.

Here's some shots of the cool pooling effects that happened on the sleeves.  It's interesting how around the elbows the pops stayed on the backside, but then as I got to the forearm it started spiraling again.  Most people would probably hate the color pooling, but I love letting the yarn do its thing and see the final result.

This cardi is perfect for the impending cooler weather, and I've been wearing it any chance I get in-between these hot Tennessee days.

Let me know, have you been eyeing a Campside Cardi for yourself too?!

1. Red Moon Sweater test knit (deadline Oct. 31st)
2. Sonya Tee (on hold, but just reordered more MC to continue)
6. Coziest Memories Blanket (just started - I wanted to work on something mindless)

Until next time!  Keeping creating fiber friends!!
